Where

In 1863 a new ferry terminal was built to replace one built earlier in 1840.

The buildings and landing stage were demolished around 1984 when the old lighthouse was removed. The lantern was saved and placed on a new stone tower in its original position.

The ferry terminal can be found on the Wirral Circular Trail route.
