St Catherines Lighthouse

St Catherine’s Lighthouse is located near Niton, on the Isle of Wight.

During World War 2, three lighthouse keepers were killed during an air raid whilst hiding in the engine house.  A memorial can be found at the nearby Niton Church graveyard, and a plaque is also displayed on the ground floor of the lighthouse tower.
