Prior to Cromer Lighthouse being established Cromer Parish Church displayed lights from its tower as a navigation aid.
The Church of St Peter and St Paul dates from the 14th century and was rebuilt in the late 19th century after falling into disrepair.
Its bell tower is the highest in Norfolk, and it is sometimes possible to climb the tower.
The church has some beautiful stained glass windows depicting the lighthouses of Cromer as well as other lifesaving windows, commemorating the Lifeboat service.
Henry Blogg a former crewman of Cromer Lifeboat was the most decorated RNLI men, for his rescue work.
